A performance of the full Mendelssohn Violin Concerto Op.61.
Performed May 2022
Following the success of 2017 Beethoven Concerto, 2022 saw ARCO tackle this Romantic classic, with soloist Chihiro Ono.
The first performance featured ARCO, bolstered by the huge forces of the Freerange Orchestra, Canterbury.
This was followed by a 9-piece ARCO performing at London's Cafe Oto.
In MenCon, the solo violin part remains entirely intact, whilst the orchestral tutti is radically reimagined by an ensemble of creative musicians.
